What the hake? Feeling a bit crabby today? Well I slept with your wife!
uh...oops..wait..there's no stupid pun there, that's a Seinfeld reference...sorry, I'm getting my wise-ass responses all confused...uhm, can't we just talk some Boston transit history?
pigeons are rats with wings and white paint bombs. squirrels are rats with bushy tails the bushy tail alows them to hang out all day. I think its discrimination againts the rats that are not so physicaly well endowed. And are forced to slip around in the shadows. Hence I think the rats should have thier own race card. There will be a rally on the commons tonite bring your posters brother rats. Political hacks not invited.
as a pretense to move the aquarium to a new state of the art facility in Southie, and give mumbles a new waterfront mc-city hall where it now sits, and finally destroy our soviet era bunker?
As normal, Mr. Newman brings the history! I had never heard about this aquarium. Are there any old pictures of it? (yes I'm too lazy to google.)
As far as moving the aquarium, they had talked about moving it to Charlestown a couple of years back. Building a HUGE-ass tank out of one of the dry-docks. Moving City Hall to the waterfront sounds good, but do we really want to move infrastructure to the waterfront given some of our future sea-level scenarios? (talking like 50 to 100 years out not hundreds of years.)

"What's that cracking noise?"
Three generations of my family have a trip to the Aquarium on Saturday. Think I should tell them about this? :)

Alternate headline
Aquarium is all it's cracked up to be.
Geez, Adam
You otter be ashamed of yourself, punning at a time like this.
I hope they seal it soon.
I'm going to have Kip Addotta's "Wet Dream" stuck in my head all day now (I'd provide a link, but work blocks Youtube).
I love it
That's a moray!
I love when the pun fest starts
Half of us are puffin up for a good time, and the rest just flounder for somethin' to say.
Well...
...ain't that a fine kettle of fish. A real haddock. No use carping about it though. ... like shooting fish in a barrel or a tank as it were...

Brings back memories of Dr. Demento. This doesn't hold up well at all.
Dead Puppies, that's a novelty song that stands the test of time.
Yessssssssssssssss!
My hero!
I'm a big fan of Poisoning Pigeons in the Park, especially this time of year!

Meh to Dead Puppies...
Fish Heads, FTW!!!
That shore is bad news
Sounds like it's going to take some mussel to get it resolved.
Ah
I received email from the aquarium about the closure, but it didn't provide details of why. I figured I'd find out by the end of the day.
Can we use this bad news
as a pretense to move the aquarium to a new state of the art facility in Southie, and give mumbles a new waterfront mc-city hall where it now sits, and finally destroy our soviet era bunker?
Aquarium used to be in Southie
Not this particular aquarium organization, but another earlier one, near Castle Island:

Menino's idea of long-term
Menino's idea of long-term planning is making sure contractors install durable "Thomas M. Menino - Mayor" signs on every city project.
So. Boston Aquarium
You can find postcards on ebay and the BPL has a few black & white archived photos as well.
