Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling is a duo doing "loud, arty, minimalist rock working in the realm of proto-punk/new wave/no wave bands and dark songwriters." And they really, really like the original, Patrick McGoohan series - so much so that not only did they take their name from one of its episodes, they just completed this shot-for-shot recreation of the series' opening sequence. No. 6 resigns under the Boston Harbor Hotel (which has a secret exit under the World Trade Center), she drives to her flat in Bay Village and she wakes up to look out over the grounds of the Mass. Horticulture Society's Elm Bank property in Wellesley (so Rover bubbles up from under the Charles, no?).
The video took took two years to plan and 11 days to shoot. The duo is currently in the middle of a project to write and record a song based on each episode of the original series.
- Shot by shot comparisons - and rare footage of No. 2 blowing up Rover himself
- The original opening
- The two sequences in one video

I don't think that's 75 state street. It looks more like the parking entrance at the Boston Harbor Hotel
Yeah, definitely not 75 State

I was actually thinking of the garage that's right next to Faneuil Hall, which is 60 State, not 75, but you could be right, so I've changed the reference.
Thanks. It could be

Thanks. It could be considered ambiguous cause the overhead shot shows her driving near Custom House Tower but I think the shot where she drives into the garage is at the Boston harbor Hotel
I am not a number

Fantastic job.
BTW, isn't the guy with the cheesy moustache in this video the same guy who put up "Mummified Squirrel National Park" or some such thing on Elm St. in Somerville about a year ago?
It is indeed the same

I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or made to listen to art rock. But this was a lot of fun to watch.

Very nicely done.
The Prisoner is one of my all-time favorite TV programs. I have the DVD set of the series. I look forward to seeing further videos like this one.
