There is reportedly a move across all major league parks to ban the wave, and in some parks they already are.

What's the point of going to a Murphy's show if you're not going to jump around? Stupid.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! You sheltered youngsters are so fucking funny. I was sneaking into the Rat before I could even vote, let alone drink!
My teenagers are laughing at your comment as I type this.
I used to wear my steel toe work boots - the ones my employer bought for me off the Dunham trucks - to concerts, toots. Moshing has been one of my favorite past time since I was in High School and waiting for my older buddies to let me into the Satyricon via the back door and the practice had yet to reach the East Coast.
I was probably moshing to bands you could only dream of seeing reunite before you were even born.
My husband used to count the bruises, but it never kept me out of the pit, even when two big guys flipped me upside down on top of the crowd during an intense Fugazi set and I ended up pretty much head first at the stage barrier.
Now I get my fix moshing with hurricanes and a foam plank. If I'm lucky, the Pixies Lost Cities tour at Hampton Beach will be a two-fer.
Actually... The leafy suburbs

Actually... The leafy suburbs have better pits than any Boston-sanctioned venue I've ever been to. I've never had to crawl out of a pit here. West of the city, definitely.
