Citizen complaint of the day: The paw-burning manhole cover on Harrison Avenue

A concerned citizen with a newly wounded pet reports on a manhole cover on the sidewalk on Harrison just outbound from E. Brookline:

Water and steam boiling out and cover is HOT. Burned dogs paws.

It was leaky last year and the steam company came and did repairs to it last winter, replacing the sidewalk, but steam still leaks really smelly steam. Whether the sidewalk is very hot, I don't know, since I wear shoes when I walk over it, but it is dry as a bone all winter, regardless of how much snow has fallen.

Wait, why would you let your dog step on a manhole cover that steam is pouring out of?

keep your canine away from steamy manholes or flaming manholes....you may think it's just "puppy love" but we gots laws in this state buddy.
