Backers of the 'less radical' candidates fight back in today's JP elections

Today's Election Day in Jamaica Plain, for seats on the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council (one of the polling places is at JP Licks - vote, buy some ice cream, it's a wonderful thing). Steve Garfield, who lives in Jamaica Plain, posted a copy of a flier distributed around the neighborhood urging votes for non-anti-Whole-Foods candidates (this is JP after all), and wonders who's behind it (since it has no identification on it):

"Less Radical" JPNC candidates
I would have added Dave Baron under Area B.
Also, the "JP for All" Facebook group is advocating a write in for "Nobody" so that the eventual council members will perhaps realize they do not have a mandate. JP for All probably should have entered more than one candidate rather than complain from the sideline. I know, pot meet kettle!

Isn't Andrea Howley the chair
Isn't Andrea Howley the chair of the neighborhood council? If she is, then she's the one who chaired the two neighborhood council meetings that were utterly dominated by the anti-Whole Foods people--not what a chair should be doing if they intend a fair meeting. And she appeared to work seamlessly with the rest of the neighborhood council in its efforts to keep Whole Foods out of JP. How is that balanced and not part of the lunatic fringe? Fortunately, the neighborhood council is an irrelevant organization, albeit pretty full of itself.
