Blue Mass. Group notes the conflict in a column by Holly Robichaud, who doubles as both scribe and political consultant:
How does a freshman state representative get mentioned as a "serious threat" to Democrats looking to retain the Congressional seat being vacated by Barney Frank? Seventeen grand should do it.
Thing is, Robichaud failed to note the consulting fees, for which, of course, BMG provides the state records.

The Herald has become a shell
The Herald has become a shell of its former self. What a disgrace. This "columnist" should be fired today, but don't hold your breath.
And what's with their city hall coverage lately? Pathetic. They must really need the mayor and the BRA for this land deal of theirs.
Loved yesterday's headline about Liz Warren
"Warren blasts Brown as being Wall Street's favorite Senator".
Then in the second paragraph it notes that Warren was quoting a Forbes Magazine article that made that claim. So who said it , Forbes or Warren?
What if the Globe had gone broke?
A couple of years ago when the NY Times was threatening to sell or close the Boston Globe, imagine what we would have been left with if the Herald had become our paper of record. (No pun intended for old-timers.)
Herald political stories don't deserve to be called "coverage." They are simply advocacy. As a long-time admirer of editor Joe Sciacca on "Beat the Press," I'm astounded by what he allows to show up in print.
