Is there a website that has residential phone numbers and addresses and I don't have to pay?
My mother has a collection of phone books for the last several years and does not want to give them up.

Back in the day
When I was a freshman at NU in 2005, we filled an entire room with phone books that were left in the lobby of our dorm. As you can imagine, the room's inhabitants were none too pleased. But that's basically all phone books are good for.. freshman year pranks.
I dont mind having a phone
I dont mind having a phone book around, I may never need to use it but Id much rather have that info available if for some reason I cant use the internet. Since you can often still use the phone even when the power or the internet is out, those of us with phone books will still be able to make calls to numbers we dont already know.
But if they go away...
...how else am I going to prop up my wobbly table or desk?

The Lieutenant Governor can use them as booster seats during his next round of "storm inspection".

The companies that drop these unwanted books off should be required to pick them back up.
