Police ketchup with alleged South Station McVandal
MBTA Transit Police report they've nabbed the guy who allegedly destroyed a $3,000 cash register at the South Station McDonald's, possibly in a snit over it being closed when he wanted to buy something.
Timothy Chace, 28, of Dorchester, was arrested on a charge of malicious destruction of property with the aid of people who recognized his photo from a wanted poster, police say.
More specifically, somebody called police and told them where he worked, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports:
Transit Police detectives visited the Waterfront restaurant where Chace was said to have worked, only to learn that he was no longer employed there. Using personnel information, however, detectives obtained an address linked with the suspect. A relative at that address agreed to have Chace contact investigators when they next spoke.
Chace surrendered himself at MBTA Transit Police headquarters on Massachusetts shortly after noon, the DA's office says.
Chace's bail was set at $200 at his arraignment in Boston Municipal Court today, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports, adding he was ordered to stay away from South Station while his case is pending.
Innocent, etc.

LOL
I legit laughed out loud for that one
Lettuce all praise the T cops
They mustard the troops, grilled some suspects, and can now relish their arrest.
This comes as no surprise to me,
having worked at McD's as a 15 yr. old. I was always shocked by the sheer rage adult men would exhibit when told we were no longer serving breakfast as we had switched over to lunch, so NO, you CANNOT order a bacon egg & cheese biscuit and hash brown. You sir, are TOO LATE!
McRage
Would you like some self-control with that?
High-def security footage
Obligatory!

That movie is exactly what I
That movie is exactly what I thought of when I read Former teenager's response.
I generally avoid McD's for breakfast if I can, but find
their sausage biscuit (plain - no egg) to be an acceptable choice if I'm on the road and need a quick "wake up" meal.
That having been said, in 20+ years of traveling for both vacation and business, I've noted a general lack of consistency as to the time they will switch over from breakfast to lunch menu. Some will change at 9:30, others won't change until 10:30. And I've noted it's not even a regional or 'day of the week' thing. For example, the McD's on the Indiana Toll Road service plazas used to change over at 9:30 on the dot, but some of the local ones off the toll road (which I would ocassionally go to if the plaza was too crowded) would still be serving breakfast after 10 am.
You know . . .
. . . way too much about menu change over times at McD's for your own good- me thinks.
