Brian D'Amico and Scott Eisen report the man was shot in the head around 8:30 p.m. at 20 Brookway Terrace in the Archdale project. Boston Police report the victim was in his 20s, was found outside the building and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Archdale was the scene of a double shooting that left one dead in June, 2011, followed by a possibly related double murder a few weeks later nearby on Washington Street. Boston Police only recently ended a 24-hour vigil outside that location.

After the double murder on Washington Street, police stationed a cruiser that was manned around the clock on a side street kitty corner from the house. It was there for months; it finally disappeared a few weeks ago.

Blow it up. I'm dead serious. Should have been demolished a long time ago. As a society, public housing projects are a disaster, especially for the neighborhoods where they're located.
Here in Boston, the city renovates them , tries to pretty them up, etc., You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. Nobody's fooling anybody. Public housing projects are long past their due date.

Jarvis wasn't a bad kid, he just was having a hard time. Around where we live, Jarvis was loved by many, although he has hurt some. He came out of jail, wanting to change everything around. His mother, younger teenage sister, and 3 younger brothers will never have another decent, happy christmas again. Every time they look out the window, they will only remember bad. Thanks to the asshole who can't bare to keep the peace. Rest easy, Jarvis. Archdale will never forget you. We love you. His mother could not even stand on her two feet from how hard she was crying.
