The LDS church at 65 Binney Street, Cambridge, has opened as a shelter for stranded runners and their families. Food, facilities, showers, and sleeping accommodations are available. Red line accessible (MIT/Kendall). If a pickup is needed, please call Daniel at 240-481-4026 for shuttle service. Please tweet and RT this.

We have a couch and some floorspace/sleeping bags available and have been trying to figure out how to assist. How can we add our home to this list of available places for those displaced by the cordon?

Another option might be Hospitality Homes, an established organisation that connects volunteer hosts with people in Boston for medical care of family. It's a wonderful group and does some vetting on both sides.

Is there a working link to an active Google Drive doc?
(that one is locked up)
I'd add my name if so.

I've added a link to the original post for adding a listing.

If you have a G+ or FB acct,
post the boston.com link, with an explanation up online.
Worst case you end up w some grateful new friends who leave Boston feeling slightly less tired.

Apparently the forms arent working for some,
if you want to go the FB route, try here:

This guy made some friggin magic happen overnight.
If you want to host any displaced runners/families who were victims during the Marathon, put your info into this map, with details of your place:
http://neighborsforneighbors.org/

And then give that guy a mental hug.
Because wow, that's why.

I warn anyone who hasn't been around someone who just ran a marathon ... the next day is pretty miserable. A runner might need help up & down stairs (most will be fine, but it is a pretty brutal abuse of the body). Be extra kind and understand if they are bit cranky.
