Don't forget the first (double) shooting of the night at Woodrow and Lauriat. Full notifications (homicide unit) made. What's that, five shot on a Wednesday in April? "Boston Miracle."

The gun trafficking bill, which was defeated by filibuster today, would have made buying guns and reselling them to people who are not permitted to own a gun -- criminals, ex-cons, people adjudicated mentally ill -- illegal, and punishable by jail time, and would depress interstate gun trafficking, which is how the majority of guns seized by BPD come to Boston... over 500 last year. The majority of 'illegal" guns seized last year in Boston were bought in Virginia and Tennessee. the gun violence in cities is fueled by gun trafficking. This is how states with strict gun laws have lots of gun violence in the big cities.

No matter how well-intentioned, Obama (or any other president) won't be taking the gang bangers guns because they are already in defiance of a host of laws. So yes, any new gun laws will only target those who choose to obey them. BTW, the Wild West shooting that went on overnight in Boston (largely unreported in the media) continued within the last hour with shots fired behind the Fuller School. One of the worst overnight outbreaks of violence in the city in many years and the media dutifully covers it up with Obama in town and Menino out of it. The current laws are working so well, let's add a few more.

"buying guns and reselling them to people who are not permitted to own a gun -- criminals, ex-cons, people adjudicated mentally ill -- illegal, and punishable by jail time,"

THIS IS ALREADY ILLEGAL AT BOTH THE STATE AND FEDERAL LEVEL

Can't you be bothered to even know the current laws before you spout off?

This guy is all over the place. Seems to do a fantastic job too. Great photos and first hand stories. I'm suprised he isn't working big time stuff yet.

I guess I don't understand why conservative gun nuts are vehemently protecting convicted violent criminals' right to purchase deadly weapons. I don't understand why conservative gun nuts aren't vehemently protecting innocent children. How do they sleep at night?
