Man arrested for May murder in Charlestown

Pablo Flores, Jr., 20, is scheduled for arraignment today on a charge of murder for the shooting death of Steven Jones, 21, on Monument Street on May 7.
Police pegged Flores as their suspect early in the investigation - police obtained an arrest warrant for him the next day and a Suffolk County grand jury indicted him on June 26. Boston Police report they finally caught up with him yesterday, on Ridgewood Street in Dorchester.

Victim was trying to break up a fight
Pablo Flores objected to Steven Jones trying to keep him from beating up another man, so he shot him to death, prosecutors said yesterday.
Suffolk Superior Court Clerk Magistrate Gary D. Wilson yesterday ordered Flores held without bail pending his trial for second-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, and multiple counts of assault with a dangerous weapons, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
