If this alleged event happened on a public street around the corner from the bar (as the "victim" claims), then why is the bar being subjected to another needless and bureaucratic hearing that's nothing but a waste of the City's time and the taxpayer's money?
If (granted, a big if) the guy got beat up by bouncers on duty, then, yes, the bar is as responsible as it was last year when two of their bouncers stomped on a bunch of people right outside. Or are you OK with bouncers smacking people around as long as they do it out of sight of managers?
The bar has had numeruous incidents within the last 3 years.. It's a matter of public safety. Wait till someone gets killed and the city again does nothing, then you will see a big waste of money... When the victims family wins a massive suit
out on a limb and say that there must be video surveillance available of the alleged beat down. Either from Haymarket, the Brooke Courthouse, the named establishment or one of the many business between the joint on not so grand canal and the scene of the alleged crime.
No matter who is telling the truth, with the history of the bar and close to losing their license, why didn't they call 911 first? There must be something they are hiding or just plain stupid.

Canal Street mystery
If this alleged event happened on a public street around the corner from the bar (as the "victim" claims), then why is the bar being subjected to another needless and bureaucratic hearing that's nothing but a waste of the City's time and the taxpayer's money?

Unless he was in the bar for a very long time,
... I presume that if he left the bar with a troubled past, he probably already had a troubled past when he entered the bar.
Maybe he ate, shot and left.

Wait, that didn't come out right...

Yes I was thinking the same..
Yes I was thinking the same... Bar can't do anything right if they had no security cameras.. I mean don't all business?? It's 2014
The bar has security cameras.
The bar has security cameras. Looks like the tape disappeared.
Actually, no, they didn't disappear
Murray promised to get them to Malone later in the day. The problem is the cameras didn't catch anything around the corner.
They should shut that bar
They should shut that bar down and any other bar with similar issues.
They should shut it down!
They should shut it down! Been a bucket of blood for years. Can't believe nobody has been killed there yet
