I ate there once. Pretty good food but there was confusion with the similarly named Blu Restaurant over on Avery Street, and some of my party ended up there by mistake.
choose your restaurant name via a contest. It's a dumb pun ("blue ink", as in the chef/owner's hair, get it?) I liked the food alright, especially the space-age, modernist touches, but the bar program was awful. You never know; it may come back. Or it's the Curse of Gordon Ramsay.
Worked around the corner and live in the neighborhood. Stopped in once and really felt like it was out of place for that area (needed more shareable apps, better drinks). Seems like a talented chef and I enjoy the food at Abby Lane. Would like to see him give it another shot w/a new theme.
clearly lets some of that molecular influence show in his take on Italian. Pretty good stuff, and the cocktail program is one of the better ones in the North End. My recent review here.
