They really need to have a
They really need to have a separate license for pickup trucks and SUVs, they are different than driving a car and should require something akin to a CDL. Its not hard to get, it just requires a little more practice and skill.
Great idea!
That idea is right up there with making cyclists get a license and register their bicycles, i.e.. an idea that clearly has not been thought thru.
First, come up with a definition of SUV.
Next, no, they are no different to drive than any other car.
Next, this accident had nothing to do with vehicle type, and had more to do with inattentiveness, something that could just as well have happened in a Mini Cooper.

"Medical situation"? Sneeze? Aiming for pedestrians? Bad GPS directions? Couldn't find another parking spot?
They weren't available for
They weren't available for comment, they were still on the phone.
Fortunately, that looks like a nice solid granite building
which I'm guessing used to be a bank? (The downtown Post Office hasn't been there very long; it used to be in the big federal building in Post Office Square.)
I'm Tickled...
... that Adam is now incorporating "traffic a mess" as a stock ending to heds, as suggested by another poster yesterday or the day before.

Who the hell
put that Fire alarm pull station on the sidewalk. It doesn't show on the GPS.
