JP man says that was no coyote on Quincy Bay, that was his missing Dutch Wolfhound
A Jamaica Plain man says the coyote that ran across Quincy Bay the other day is actually Taupaw, his 11-month old Dutch Wolfhound.
Taupaw is lanky, gray, brown and white, is shy, but loves other dogs. And he loves to roam:
He went missing from Newmarket Sq., was photographed on the ice in Quincy Bay on 2-27, seen 2-27 on Lawrence Ave/Blue Hill Ave @MLK Jr. Elementary School.. Seen 2-28 on Elm St. in JP near old High School. This guy is covering a lot of territory - please keep an eye out!
Deputy BPD Superintendent Kelly Nee says this ties in with an unusual call BPD got yesterday from Lawrence Avenue in Dorchester: A report of a "coyote" wearing a collar.
If you see him, call 781-640-6219.

Gee
I wonder how he managed to remove his leash?
RTFL
Ran away from home. Easy when the show is high enough. Go hump yourself.
I suspect he's not a dog
I suspect he's not a dog owner. All dogs get loose.
Good point
Now that the snow is so high all of my doors are left wide open

Watch your dawgs...
My way-too-smaht young aussie mix used the snow banks as a ramp and I got a call from the Cambridge dog police some hours later. Apparently this is happening all over the place. Be advised...
It's Quincy Bay, not Harbor
:)
Shows you what I know
Thanks, fixed.
You're welcome
Keep up the good work, Adam.
Not a coyote but not really a
Not a coyote but not really a dog either. Saarloos are wolf hybrids. Gorgeous but independent. I do hope they find him.

Dog was found by Boston Animal Control in Dorchester and reunited with its owner.
