Four hunted for robbing, pistol whipping two women on Somerville/Cambridge line

Somerville Police report two women were robbed and then beaten with a gun at South and Willow streets around 9:15 p.m. on Monday.

Police say the two women were surrounded by four males and add:

One suspect displayed a firearm and, despite encountering no resistance, pistol-whipped both victims.

He's described as Hispanic, between 16 and 19, with dark, close-cropped hair and a thin mustache; a drawing of him is on the right.

being jumped and pistol whipped is not amusing. Not lecturing or talking down to anyone, my point is this was actually a serious incident. Any follow up would be interesting, if even catch the perps, which is doubtful.

I have a close friend who was jumped in J.P.She did not resist, he beat the snot out of her anyway. Jaw had to be wired shut.

yeah, since I live in that neighborhood, I'd be very interested in follow-up. Agree, being surrounded by four men and pistol-whipped ain't joke fodder.
