Aside from the fact that Shawn is now a Florida Panther, the Bruins themselves don't need the T because they walk to work. Almost all of them live in the North End or Charlestown. Some pro athletes in New York City actually use the subway because it's practical, but I don't know of any Boston athlete who used or is using public transit except for some pedestrian Red Sox pitcher who used the Green Line many years ago.
