Man stabbed in Porter Square; suspect rides off on a bicycle

Pickard

Cambridge Police report they are looking for Stephen Picard, 45, on charges he ended an argument by plunging a knife into another man's arm around 10:30 p.m. in Porter Square yesterday.

Picard and a pal then got on bicycles and pedaled north on Mass. Ave.

Police say they found the victim, a Somerville resident, standing on White Street, bleeding from his arm. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Picard, who is, as they say, known to police, is described as white and heavy-set and wearing glasses and an orange shirt. He's often seen riding a mountain bicycle and has no known address.

If you spot him, police say don't approach him - he has a knife, after all - but instead call 911 or 617-349-3300.

When will mankind ever learn?

At 45 years old, he clearly must be one of those hipster yuppies bent on destroying the sanctity of North Cambridge by cycling through it on his $3,000 fixie.

Won't someone think about the sacred traffic island?

to make it easier for the public to uniquely identify a public menace: http://cambridge.wickedlocal.com/article/20150527/NEWS/150526938

Now wearing glasses not seen in the photo. Other arrests show he also frequents Davis Square.

Sadly the younger Picard did not take after his older sibling, shown here after receiving the news.

And I clicked anyway. And I was not disappointed.

Who can read that last name without thinking of Starfleet?

I only went to read the comments on this post to see how long it took for the first Captain Picard reference. Not bad.
