State Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reported today:
After a physical examination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, investigators believe the girl was about 4 years old with brown eyes and brown hair that was about 14 inches long. She stood about 3½ feet tall, and weighed just over 30 pounds. She was not significantly overweight or underweight for her height. Her ethnicity has not been established.

Evil people out there.
What an awful thing.
We don't know that yet
I didn't see anything about cause of death.
Remember that woman found pushing a dead baby in a swing because the baby died and she freaked?
Let's see what the details are.
Body left on rocks?
There's really no way that there's any good thing about this. Cause of death is only part of the issue.
Who is she, and why was her body left there? Neither question will be answered by the autopsy.
The body was in a bag and
The body was in a bag and ended up on a beach. At the very least, someone didn't do the right thing, even if it was not an intentional death.
Chilling
Both of my kids are adults and this is still the stuff of nightmares for me.
To everyone who loved that little girl, my heart goes out to you.
The problem is that no one
The problem is that no one loved that little girl enough. That's why she's dead.
So dam sad
So dam sad
I don't like this, but I
I don't like this, but I agree. I feel really bad about this. I wish someone reached out and helped her.
why the sudden radio silence on this?
Why is there no new info on this? If she wasn't reported missing and the cops don't know who she is, why aren't they asking for the public's help in identifying her? I would think this would be front page news. But as we know, the Globe doesn't cover crime anymore. I think they barely even covered the 3 children stabbed in Hyde Park.
It's the media's responsibility
To remember, and keep asking about things like this. But they often are derelict in this regard. If the police are coming up empty they usually won't bring it up, so someone has to say, "How's that investigation going?"
Speaking of which
Someone should ask them how the search for Kanagala Seshadri Rao's killer(s) is going. It's been over 3 years now. Absolutely nothing.
