Police nab suspects in string of armed robberies in Brookline, Boston and Cambridge
Cambridge and Lawrence Police report the arrest of two adults and two teens for an armed-robbery spree early yesterday that started in Brookline and Boston, moved to Cambridge and then ended in Lawrence, where police managed to catch them.
Police say that after the Brookline, Boston and Cambridge robberies - in which at least two victims were beaten - Michael Ellis, 20, of Haverhill, King Sheman, 19, of Newburyport; and two male juveniles from Newburyport and Amesbury drove to Lawrence, where they pistol whipped a robbed a man of his phone and wallet. Police say that proved their undoing - Lawrence Police stopped and arrested them soon after.
Police say they recovered the black Volkswagen they'd used to get from robbery to robbery and two black and silver BB guns used in the attacks.
Although the four were formally charged with just the Lawrence attack, Cambridge Police add:
Due to the preliminary investigation and property recovered, the departments are highly confident that these suspects were involved in the armed robberies that took place throughout the four cities Friday morning. Cambridge, Boston and Brookline anticipate formally charging the suspects following the completion of their investigation.
Innocent, etc.

Great news. Thanks, Adam.
Kudos to law enforcement for grabbing these alleged scumbags so quickly. It's a relief to those of us who have to travel by foot late at night, and hopefully some comfort for the victims.
Yes, happy to be proven wrong!
i thought these two would go a little harder. Nice job to all involved in stopping these scumbags.
The skinny jeans gave it away
The skinny jeans gave it away. I knew the punks were from the 'burbs.
Naw
Skinny jeans and pants are popular among kids and young adults in Roxbury, Dorchester, etc just like anywhere else. They are brainwashed by marketing and advertising same as everyone else, maybe more-so.
"They are brainwashed by marketing and advertising"
That's an incredibly self-righteous way of saying "follow contemporary fashion trends because they want to be viewed as attractive and popular."
"maybe more-so."
This is absolutely correct. I live in Dorchester, and the other day I was standing outside Ashmont station and said "man, I could really go for the cool, crisp, refreshing taste of an ice-cold Coca-Cola."
Suddenly, swarms of young people waiting for buses and trains left their post, walking as if zombified towards the Tedeschi.
Skinny jeans have their merits
Like, for people who walk and bike a lot? For people who ride motorbikes?
They tend to be stretchy, fit better on well-exercised legs, and the lack of excessive fabric around the ankles is a big plus on a bike or motorcycle. My husband and son wear them all the time.
Most importantly
They make guns much harder to conceal - I'm all for urban criminals ditching their baggy pants and hoodies and making a switch to skinny jeans and tight t-shirts with ironic messages.
Who knew?
America's best kept gun crime deterrent marketed instead as a fashion trend.
They do Swirls
They show off your butt (or like many people who wear them, show off their lack-of-said-butt)
:)
Not rreally
Skinny jeans tend to be tight in the leg and looser in the butt, an altogether unappealing look. In the earlier 70s-80s era of tight jeans they were tight all over. if you're gonna wear tight jeans, don't cop out at the butt.
bah
!
But I agree. Gotta show off that butt if you wear very tight jeans.
That's exactly what works for cyclists
I saw a lot of skinny jeans at the Redbone's Bike Party on people of all ages, as cyclists tend to get round rumps and skinnier legs.
My son bought a bunch of clothes in Europe a couple of years ago, because they were cut for guys with "teh booty" from cycling and walking everywhere, and for guys under a size 30 waist (28s are hard to find in the US).
It's so hard to find skinnies
It's so hard to find skinnies with a gusseted crotch though, which I find is the best for cycling. As much as I love Nudies and japanese denim, I can't blowouts on $200 jeans.
Betabrand,Swrve and even Levis commuter line make great cycling denim though.
