Stanley Staco reports two men were shot around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday outside 67 Washington St.. One victim was injured seriously enough to have the homicide unit called in.

It would have been better if they got hit with foul balls at Fenway. The Globe would have given them the upper right corner of the Sunday Metro section, a photo, 30+ column inches and two reporter credits.

Why every local news outlet is reporting on shark sightings but not striped bass.
It has to do with frequency. Once something becomes the norm, it becomes less news worthy.
