MikeKix attended Marty Walsh's ALS-fighting ice-bucketing outside City Hall this afternoon - at which the mayor wore his answer to the whole Free Brady T-shirt brouhaha.

is politicians not being mature enough to recognize they shouldn't even be participating in gimmicks (sorry if this word offends some people, but it's an accurate description here) like the Ice Bucket challenge.

Cro-Magnons were anatomically modern, straight limbed and tall compared to the contemporaneous Neanderthals. They are thought to have stood on average 176.2 cm (5 feet 9 1⁄3 inches) tall,[34] though large males may have stood as tall as 195 cm (6 feet 5 inches) and taller.[35] They differ from modern-day humans in having a more robust physique and a slightly larger cranial capacity.[36] The Cro-Magnons had long, fairly low skulls, with wide faces, prominent noses, and moderate to no prognathism.[26] A distinctive trait was the rectangular eye orbits.[37] Cro-Magnons also had tropically adapted body/limb ratios.[38] Their vocal apparatus was like that of present-day humans and they could probably speak.[39]

And, to think, I almost obnoxiously commented earlier, "inb4 dvdoff's anti-walsh sentiment." Not really a comment pro/anti mayor, on my part. Rather, just forecasting what comments may come....

If I may, I was thinking about this earlier, and I'm not for/against Marty by any means. After all, my mayor is Curtatone. But I just so happen to think that Walsh has got more muppet-like qualities about him compared to your cro-mag comparison. I'm more amused by my observation than anything else, though.

I'm wondering if ole Mahty took short fingered vulgarian's Donald Trump's remarks to heart today....?
That's gotta hurt!

Couldn't tell you. To be honest, when I read the story, I thought it was just a repost of what Trump said in the aftermath of what Marty said about Trump, and Trump's reaction after the USOC pulled its Boston Olympic bid.
However I doubt Walsh really gives a hoot about Trump. The only redeeming quality about Trump is that he's making the GOP implode.
So you find him attractive.

Society is accepting and you can now marry the one you love. A UHUB wedding would be great followed by a bike riding reception at City Hall Plaza.

I'm a sucker and a simpleton, I know, but I think this is cute. Adorable, even. And he challenged Trump - a.k.a. the Wicked Witch of the West, or of New York at least - to dump himself with water, thus making him melt (I assume), so I have a little bit of goodwill for Mahhty today.
