The folks at the Boston City Archives wonder if you can place this photo.
So my guess would be Gardner Mansion, late 1800s or early 1900s because the woman appears to have bound feet.
She doesn't really have bound feet; she's wearing shoes on stilts that make her walk that way, though.
There appears to have been an official visit August of 1868.

But I'll need to see some family history documentation for the subjects so I know whether or not to be outraged by the fact that these people are wearing those ethnically specific garments.
