![Blue Hills Bank Pavilion under repair](https://universalhub.com/files/styles/main_image_-_bigger/public/images/2015/tentdown.jpg)
Earlier today, Matt the roving UHub photographer noticed the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion was in the process of being torn down and wondered why. Turns out it's not going away forever, just that the tent fabric is being replaced in time for performances to start up again in the spring.

Are a scam anywhere you go. Even at restaurants. With the cup, lid, and ice, a soda costs around 20 cents for a 20oz cup. Yet we're being charged 2,3,4 dollars a cup for 20oz cup. Yes even with free refills, its a large mark up.

There's no reason why places should charge more than 2 bucks for a soda, even with free refills anywhere. Anything more than that, they are just gouging you.

for a 32oz beer. $7 for a 16oz...cheaper than fenway, or the garden.
Pretty sure it was only 24 oz

I did have one of the 24-ouncers of Harpoon (for $14) before I wised up and switched to $4 cans of Genesee.
Agreed that it's cheaper than Fenway, but does that make it OK?
A-OK

Supply and demand, my friend. No one is making you buy a beer, and it's certainly not a right to be able to purchase one that you feel is "affordable".
Perfectly OK

They can charge whatever they want...and you can choose to drink it, or drink the $4 cans.

costs 4 bucks (if you can find them around here; a few places sell 30 can cases for 15 bucks, making a 12oz can WELL UNDER a buck. That is a text book example of price gouging.

No one is making you buy the beer, A text book example of price gouging is charging $40 for a case of water after a hurricane or other natural disaster. If it's such a big deal to you, either drink before or just sneak in nips like the rest of us.
Don't buy beer there

Harpoon Brewing is just up the street and has a most excellent tap room. Head there before a game, get a couple of pints of things not sold in stores, and then coast through the evening.

$100+ to be jammed into folding metal auditorium chairs fastened together with cable ties.
edit: looks like they may have actually installed some more permanent-looking seats since the last time I was there.

So you haven't been in at least 7 years, but don't let that stop you from telling us all about what's happening there now.

That place is lousy. Bad sound, bad atmosphere, everything. I have seen some good bands there, but it was always a case of enjoying the concert despite the setting.
The tent even obscures what could be cool about the location: you can't see much of the harbor unless you go outside the tent.
Tent, get off my lawn!
