if they a) aren't placed BEFORE truckers have committed to entering the road in question and b) if there aren't good and well signed alternate routes for them to take instead.

If you followed the link, you'd know that in spite of good warnings, people still crash into bridges. In one case, the driver knew about the videos of the bridge, and hit it anyway.

so I didn't have to follow it. And if you do a GSV look at the streets approaching the bridge in Durham, you'll see my points are quite valid. They certainlly apply to Storrow and Memorial Drives.

I'm from Amherst, NH. It's only an hour north of Boston, and I'd say 99% of people from there are familiar with Boston and Storrow's restrictions.
