Gearing up for Valentine's Day at one local school

A tradition at Boston Latin School is the sale of carnations on Valentine's Day with a little saying attached. One of this year's proposals:

Are you a colony? Because you're my Massachusetts bae.

Carnations? Vas ist los ? I googled Argo , one thing I read ,a story , " Students Venture to Strasbourg '' Why are they going to Pa, to see freight terminals? But alas it is France. Guess milk isnt .03 a cartoon anymore either.

Nice to see a tradition continue for this elite school. What is our new "education mayor' going to do for the rest of us, especially for Roxbury where the kids are doomed for failure. Martry should read, "Death at an Eartly Age."

For somebody to take something goofy and silly and crank the righteous indignation up to 11.

Don't worry, I'm about to write up the mayor's state-of-the-city address, where he talked about education. But in the meantime, I'm going to go out on a limb here and declare that Marty Walsh is not funneling city funds to BLS to buy carnations.
