One of my coworkers was dating someone from another office (5th floor) -- she said one of the partners or higher ups there likes to throw cash out the window, just for fun. Their office was evidently way more fun than ours.

That sounds COMPLETELY and UNQUESTIONABLY GREAT! That was literally my dream the entire time I was living in the Boston area and working multiple shitty jobs. Because finders keepers isnt actual law. Found money (and other property) is required to be turned in and a police report generated. The findee can claim it if it isnt otherwise claimed in a month.
