Movies you can walk to if you live in Roslindale Square

WalkUp Roslindale is hosting screenings of Boston-related movies, some in people's homes, over the next couple of months:
Sadly, the historic Rialto Theatre disappeared decades ago, leaving only the adjacent Rialto Barbership behind, but we are committed to revival. We’ve got six films lined up to start, to be projected for free screenings in a variety of private and public locations. Ultimately, we aim to identify a permanent comfortable space for high quality community film watching and discussion, but there’s no time like the present to get the ball (or film) rolling.

Boston related films
This is a nice idea. Reminds me a little of when I worked near Chinatown years ago and for a while after the China Cinema closed they would show Chinese movies on the wall in that little park on Beach Street near the Chinatown Gateway.
As for Boston related films---"The Friends of Eddie Coyle" is great. I also suggest the original "Thomas Crown Affair". Kind of short on plot, but great shots of 1960s Boston. And Steve McQueen is just so damn cool in it. Another good one is the little remembered "Fuzz" from 1972. It will never win any awards as a great film but it's enjoyable enough and again, great shots of Boston of that period and both Burt Reynolds and Raquel Welch were at their peak of being Beautiful People.

What about Roslindale movies?
I mean, it probably isn't PC to screen Heart of Darkness, but On Broadway has it all- an indie film, set in Boston, partly filmed on Canterbury Street.
Kid friendly option
This sounds great! I hope they choose a kid friendly movie for the TBD slot of April 28. It's at 5:30 at the library - - perfect time and place for this neighborhood full of kids.
