Doug Bennett running for, well, not what you'd expect

When we got to the Stop & Shop on American Legion a bit ago, we saw a couple of skinny Bennett signs. Green, of course, and hand painted.
Doug was in the vestibule collecting signatures for a run for the register of deeds job Mickey Roche retired from in December.
Among his platforms: Putting pre-1973 documents online e so people don't have to go downtown anymore.

How could you not admire the guy's persistence? He is a classic underdog & I always root for the underdog. He reminds me of Lucas from the movie Lucas. Hell I might even donate twenty bucks to his campaign. He surely can't be any worse than Crony O'Hack from 1010 Mass Ave or whoever else is going to try and run for whatever is it that he's running for this time. I mean, how can one possibly bungle "Register of Deeds"?
Dougie as Lucas?
Not a good comparison. Lucas was smart and the target of bullies. Dougie is not to bright, and is a bully. He used to attack and belittle just about everyone right here on Universal Hub. Check the archives for some very unpleasant reading.
And how could someone bungle Register of Deeds you ask? Well Dougie can't spell, as evidenced by his various campaign websites and postings here and elsewhere. Deeds must be precise and 100% correct. Doug definitely could not handle that.

In the past Doug would often post here on Uhub, under his own name, under other names, and as anon. I think this "whatever, he's got my vote" is Doug himself. He often used to dismiss others using the term "whatever". Look for the upcoming angry post where increasingly angry anon Doug attacks me for pointing him out

I don't care much for these little hack jobs, but from a neighborly perspective Doug is a top notch human being.

I have met Doug, and had 3 conversations with him. He is NOT a top notch human being. He is an angry nut job. For additional evidence, read some of his postings here on Uhub back when he was running for sheriff. Angry, attacking, insulting, and not nice.

His ugly ass signs are still littering Dot Ave around Savin Hill and Fields Corner. Doug doesn't deserve anyone's vote for anything.

I have never met the man but his signs would pop up in locations where I know he did not get permission to put them, often behind fences so they are still there to this day slowly falling apart. His blatant disregard for his contributions to urban blight is enough of a reason to send him back to Nantucket.

He runs for any available seat and constantly switches parties. I'm just offended by his awful signs.

He nails his signs to large mature trees which damages them. Who could support someone who would be willing to kill historic trees on the Commonwealth mall just to support his candidacy?

He needs to go collect all the old signs from his past runs that he illegally put up all over Suffolk County that are still there before he runs for anything else.
Clarification
Just for clarity, the pre-1973 documents are online and can be viewed, if you know their exact book and page number. But said documents are not sorted by address or name, so your average person is not going to be able to find them.

Is there a seat or office that this clown will not run for? I think he has run for everything BUT dog catcher. The worst part of this is that we'll have to put up with his fugly, fugly campaign signs fouling the landscape for moths on end. Is this guy just obsessed with getting onto the state hack pension scheme or does he have a fetish for seeing his name on the ballot? I wish he would just go away.
