Calm after Lenox Street sweep didn't last long: Multiple shots fired near Ramsay Park

Around 9:30 p.m. at Shawmut Avenue and Kendall Street. Shooter aimed at some people; nobody hit.
On Thursday, federal and local officials announced charges against 27 people for their alleged roles in violence and drug dealing in and around the Lenox developments.

'Littler' gangs? Lenox, though scrappy, violent and careless, ARE small by contrast to Heat st, H-Block etc. Look at the 'development' @ sub 400 units. How big could they be?
...the sweep was done for lots of reasons but mostly because the property is going to Beacon.
Certain element and activity
Certain element and activity has gone of for decades at Lenox. The real issue is jobs and services while their at a crucial age to turn their life around. I see the bust as no victory as new group will appear. Those 19 guys was not intelligent at all. The most vicious ones I believe who controls everything you will never see. How are the drugs and guns getting in the hands of these young men and our city anyway. They certainly don't the financial resources to do that.
