Giant marshmallow on a stick in Inman Square

We saw this half cut down tree on the way home from our favorite bar last weekend and it looked like it needed a marshmallow.

So she made one.

Seems like SOP is to leave the stump 5 or 6 feet tall. Is this to prevent tripping over a small one until they get around to replacing it?
