Where is the Longwood
Where is the Longwood Security Special Police? Seems the last year or so they have had a less proactive staff? Do they have new managment? If they do they need to bring them back or someone else to run things. A bunch of different faces too! I used to rate Longwood better than Boston Police but now Longwood is a joke! This is their area that they patrol and it just seems its getting a lot worse.
Longwood Police
I totally agree! I come home from work and there are drunk bums sleeping on the front stairs, in the hallway and always in the way bumming money. No hard working person should have to come home to that and residents shouldn't have to call Longwood to report this if they were doing their job and not sitting in Franklin Park eating, sleeping or whatever else they do in their patrol cars.
First Armor Security patrol
First Armor Security patrol this area not Longwood Security. Franklin hill apartments property are run by a different management company no Cruz management.
Maybe they should hire you,
Maybe they should hire you, that wasn't Longwood property, that was first armor property. We shouldn't be so quick to judge and start analyzing
It was Longwood before First
It was Longwood before First Armor took over. Where did all the good Special Police Officers!
Longwood Public Safety
has turned into a joke in the past year! They are losing contracts left and right. I am surprised that they haven't sold the company or have gone out of business yet!
34 franklin hill ave is
34 franklin hill ave is patroled by a company called first armored security.
The area which are the red bricks are handled by them.
Just so uball know every patrolled building has a different special police department that patrols them.
Make sure you know who patrols them before you start bashing the wrong team.
Longwood (and like companies)
Longwood (and like companies) are not "Special Police Departments" as you put it. They are security companies. In fact, BPD Rule 400 states that you cannot use the word police, so how would Longwood be a police department? Longwood employees are not police officers.
They are special officers of
They are special officers of the city but special police officers of the private companies. I never heard a security guard making an arrest. These special police officers respond to shootings and stabbings and make arrests. They don't get any preference on the civil service exam, which is a disgrace. Which they definitely should. Some of these officers should be Boston cops and some Boston cops shouldn't even be in security, let alone protecting the city.
Call them what you want,
Call them what you want, except for police officers because they are not and their employers are not "special police departments". At best they are special officer companies. That 160 hour academy really only gets u enough knowledge to get into trouble. 99% of the Longwood guys wouldn't know a crime if it smacked them in the face. The other 1 % are smart enough to lay low.
The management is unbelievably inept too. The VP cannot even pronounce the names of his properties properly. VP also runs around claiming to be the former chief of Mt. Ida College PD, but in reality was just an operations manager for Securitas. The list goes on.
They do respond to shootings and stabbings but so does the news, that doesn't make reporters cops. Plus the majority of calls, besides noise complaints, that Longwood responds to is because they are jumping on BPD calls. I know this first hand to be a fact. Just open the door for the guys who know what they're doing and get out of the way. Some great people work this job but the majority are just whackers who want to tell stories to people who don't know any better.
Maybe....but just for the
Maybe....but just for the record, Boston school police aren't "real cops" either bro. Last I checked, that 160 hour you are talking about is longer than the 100 hours you received
Actually
Longwood Security still patrols Franklin Hill. Maybe so people do not know what they are talking about.
