The campaign headquarters for the rest of us

If you haven't been to Faneuil Hall Marketplace recently (tourists: Moving slowly in herds since 1876), you're missing the "Boston Campaign Headquarters," with the sign that urges us to "vote for nothing."

WBUR introduces us to artist Pat Falco's un-campaign.

325 million and counting. Estimated 400 million in 40 years.

Great. A disaffected millennial artist providing cynicism, while in a space he didn't pay for and, according to the article, doesn't bother to use very much.

Yip, politics has problems. Plenty of them. It doesn't require someone clever to figure it out. You know what doesn't help? Indifference. Apathy.

So this guy can be too cool for school, making "art" that requires neither technical skill, creativity, nor insight. I'll spend my September and October knocking on doors encouraging my neighbors to vote -- because I don't want the only people voting to be the ones who know better than to ignore this jackass.

be fair. Jeb! said he would not be voting this election. I guess some of the olds now know what it feels like to not have anyone worth voting for on the ballot. So they take their ball and go home. Just like those of us who know how worthless voting has been going on 50 years now. it simply does not affect the majority of Americans. Democrat gets in, poor people are poor. Republican gets in, guess what? POOR PEOPLE ARE STILL POOR. It's not like either party is going to help people who need it. They are more interested in helping people in power keep it right where it is. The main difference is if the GOP gets elected, maybe you get to die in some far off foreign land for no discernable reason.

Remind me where I can go to get my art certified by the proper licensing boards? I always want to contribute to the local arts community, but I'm dreadfully fearful of not having the stamp of approval on it from the proper state regulatory agency, lest one of the inspectors come around and slap a "NOT ART" tag on it. Or, heavens, someone on the internet might loudly proclaim that I'm creating banal, technically unimpressive art, and the blow to my ego would just be insurmountable.

(Lighten up, Francis. It's OK to take elections less-than-completely-seriously, especially when one presumptive nominee is indistinguishable from any satire that could ever be written about him. No one's going to stay home on election day, or write in Bart Simpson on the ballot, because this guy put up a fake campaign center.)

I was really hoping for a Richard Pryor reprisal.

Was to lazily recycle plots from classic 80s movies, I could've been world renowned by now.

Come see my exhibit next month of a bitingly satirical look at a world where nerds take revenge on jocks!

This "my child could have done this" shtik gets tiring after awhile. Yeah, maybe you could've done better, but you didn't.

I'm not complaining about the ease of the execution, I'm complaining about laziness of the intent.

There's no new message here. It's barely even social commentary. Apathy is not a movement.

It's pithy as a t shirt but building a whole office is just taking it too far.

Take your tired, Holden Caufield "everyone's a phony" bullshit back to 8th grade where it's still new and exciting. Art should aspire to something higher than that.

The trick is at the bottom, select "Filtered HTML" from the drop down next to "Text Format" instead of "Default".

If it doesn't show when you click on "Preview Post", it didn't work and try again.

I will not summon this demon. With great power comes great responsibility.

Hillary and Donald took care of that for me. Granted, can't wait to see the debates - now THAT will be literally true reality TV. Frighteningly real that one of these two will be our next president.
