Red Line riders now paying more, but trains still die just like before

A train that came up lame at Alewife is now causing "moderate" delays on the Red Line. Or as one rider puts it:

I am now 1hr into my 1hr commute, and nowhere near my destination.

Don't worry, if this fare increase doesnt do the trick, ol Charlie is planning another one, thatll surely fix it. Another plan is to change all the subway line workers to private contractors, then we will get the sweet, reliable and inexpensive service commuter rail riders have been enjoying for years since those lines began being run by a private company.

Enough with this drivel trying to tie Charlie Baker to Donald Trump. Baker would rather leave the ballot blank than vote for Trump, and has spoken passionately in condemnation of him. Debate the issues on the merit, not some wacko conspiracy theories and insinuations of dark Republican alliances.

The Ⓣ's problems have little to do with Mr. Trump.

I'm more annoyed that he keeps attacking on postulations rather than proposed actions or actions done. His username is one thing. But screaming about it all part of his "privatization plan" is ideological drivel until he actually proposes it or even hints at it. So far, in Baker's tenure we saw fare got raised, but we seen plenty of fare raises before under Patrick (see this link to my post I made analyzing rage on the hikes) .

So far, the two actions that I mentioned in that link that definitely would break the opinion of Charlie Baker - canceling GLX and/or Mattapan - did not happen. Instead, he followed through (or his appointed people to be exact) that GLX was reduced from an exorbitant $3BN project to a still exorbitant $2.1BN - but at least it currently not at a whole billion over budget anymore - as any governor who presents himself as just being managerial prudent. Mattapan? Well, so far I haven't seen any cancellation.

The other actions I can analyze is the fiscal control board - and so far they have been behaving as a group trying to fix bad practices and costs. They don't have any vision to turn into a world-class service, but not some wrecking ball that is implied in his tone either.

But perhaps I am missing stuff or being blind. But so far, the most eyebrow raising is privatizing money counting. But again, that's not enough to go **** BAKER like some comments while attacking him on actions he haven't done. I'll await for action he actually does or announce to do.

In addition to the cash room, Baker also proposed privatizing maintaining fare collection machines, privatizing jobs that conduct marketing and other corporate services, privatizing some bus routes, as well as private contractors along the green line stations to check for fares, to name a few.

Baker's team has said that the green line is still not a definite thing, and that any construction wouldn't start for a year and a half (after the next governors race).

Fares go up and the Red Line service stays the same... Not to mention buses showing up late and leaving late. I'm so over the commuting.
