Also in the leg, around 10:20 p.m. at Almont and Orlando streets. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

Right at the Pop Warner fields, just as the season's starting. Not good

Heard six shots, sounded like 9mm, heard man screaming followed by a woman yelling. The gun shots were very loud. BPD probably responded within 15-18 minutes. Not really a heavily patrolled area in general.

I truly hope the person that was shot is alive. This area is very dangerous at night. It becomes the devil's playground. It's infested with drug dealers, gang members, and drug addicts that wander off of Blue Hill Ave. The love in this world has grown cold. However I do respect the police, but their response time was outrageous. Especially with a police station five minutes away. There are many nice families in the area, and six of those bullets could have gone stray, killing a child or any other innocent human in the area. It makes me sick that this act of terror happened a few feet away from a playground.
