No mo' Boloco at Northeastern U, Wellesley, and Natick

Two years ago, I went to the one on Mass Ave and Boylston and it was horrible. The service was extremely slow, and they served me a raw burger - I got a refund after I complained.

Yeah I noticed they've kinda gone down hill. I was a regular at their second location on Dartmouth Street next to the BackBay T station. This was before they sold out to Boloco. The quality was better, service was better, food was better. Their prices went up after selling out.

Kinda its meh now.. rather go to another place and just order a turkey burger if I want something healthy.

I ate at their Summer street location last year.. never again. Ordered a salad and a burger and it was like 16 bucks. I've gotten a better salad with more veggies at McDonald's than I did at b.good.

Dartmouth St location no good

I ate there once. I ordered a turkey burger. Dry burger, bun was not fresh, fries were squishy and not tasty. I'm not going back.

It was being actively used by as farm by a different non-profit supporting the homeless before b good apparently took it over, I believe using backroom politics.

It has to do with Boloco's history, which involves the founder getting kicked out, then coming back in.

I must be in the minority, but I LOVE Boloco. Their burrito bowls are just the right price and size for me. I've been wishing there were one closer to where I live or work, but no such luck. I hope they stay afloat!

I also think B.Good has some of the most sub-par burgers and fries around. The salads are good, but not filling enough.

I've like Boloco since they changed from The Wrap an eon ago. Lots of stuff you can add to a burrito and it's all pretty good. The staff is normally friendly.

Sadly, the writing is on the wall seeing as how they are closing a few locations a year. B.Good was overpriced and lousy the few times I've tried it and I Clover is no better.

So long BoLoCo. It was fun.

I like Boloco, though I actually thought The Wrap was better. But if they are closing anyway I'm glad BG is the replacement , though now that you mention it I'd love a Clover in the area!

And worse for me, when we want to drive to a Boloco, our options tend to be Natick (along with some shopping) or Wellesley. So bummer for me.

To be honest, though, I have often felt that the locations are a bit remote for the chain. Wellesley has the college, but Natick was just out there. Northeastern, on the other hand, is a question mark for me. They leased campus space and everything.

I guess I'm left with Chipotle or trying to find parking in Brighton.

The burritos? Well, perhaps I should check out Yucatan. The thing about the likes of boloco is that they have the kiddie burrito, which Waquiot Jr. eats. He also loves Romanos' pizza.

My big gripe with Romanos. I'm sure this is a new thing, but the giant sign that notes everything you can get there is gone.

Brighton Center has Los Dos Amigos (formerly Boca Grande). That's also in the former Coolidge Corner Location of Boca Grande. Can't speak for LDA's burritos, but the tacos are to die for.

There's also an El Pelon near BC if you sway that way.

The number of Mexican food

The number of Mexican food restaurants in the immediate area of Natick Mall (and in the greater Framingham-Natick-Wellesley-Wayland vicinity) always seemed to me to defy market logic. Maybe we are seeing the continuation of a shakeout:

Viva in Wayland went a while ago
La Carreta on 30 in Framingham and then the other one that opened there both gone
Taqueria Mexico on rt 9 folded and relocated in downtown Framingham across from 3 other taquerias
The tiny place in Framingham that is now El Maya must have turned over 4 times
Now Boloco

That still leaves closed to a dozen places ranging from bland chain to authentic mom'n'pop in an easy drive from the intersection of Speen and Rt. 9 (not even counting the numerous places that do wraps and rice bowls that cover the same turf).

No mo' Boloco at Northeastern U, Wellesley, and Natick
