![Candidate fundraiser that mentions Steve Murphy as being elected](https://universalhub.com/files/styles/main_image_-_bigger/public/images/2016/notsofast.png)
Paul Gannon is running for state senate somewhere well south of the Neponset, but, natch, he's having a fundraiser tonight in South Boston. And look at the notables planning to attend, specifically "Register of Deeds-elect Stephen J. Murphy."
Not yet - he still has to beat John Keith, Margherita Ciampa-Coyne and Joe Donnelly in the Nov. 8 election.
After our own Kaz spotted the announcement attached to a tweet, Gannon's campaign did take it down and replied:
Ah, THAT IS WHY THEY PUT ERASERS ON THE ENDS PENCILS ! Sorry for any Confusion !
Still, it was surprising to see that Murphy had time for such frivolities, given that he was unable to attend any candidate forums before the Democratic primary, which he barely won. Anybody want to lay odds on him showing up at the Chinatown Residents Association forum on Nov. 2 (6:30 p.m. at the Quincy School, 885 Washington St.)? The other three candidates have agreed to attend.

Things have gotten so bad in this state that votes are now considered technicalities, and 6 figure souped up public pensions are considered entitlements.
Margherita for Deeds.

Register for United Independent, at least for this election cycle and you'll help us get a third party who is interested in running candidates for local office (unlike Jill Stein and her pro-Assad buddies) in an effort to breakup the two party cabal currently running our state.
This will help reduce this kind of nonsense while advancing actual progressive politics and more transparent government as opposed to letting Speaker Deleo and Gov. Baker run the state from behind closed doors.

This site is one of the few sites where I have ad blocker disabled and it took me a second to realize it was a political ad. Well played indeed.

John was the only candidate smart enough to ask me about advertising (Uhub readers being the finest, choicest, most discerning site visitors throughout Suffolk County, of course), but, no, I didn't do anything special to marry his ad with this particular post. You'll currently find his ad just above the comments on every single story on the site. Until Friday, it was alternating with another couple of ads, but they ran out then, so he gets the spot alone, at least until somebody else pays for some space there.

Right now you're running a Scientology ad in the right column under "Recent comments".

It may surprise and shock you all to learn that, after many unanswered messages, Steve Murphy has finally agreed to appear at the Progressive West Roxbury/Roslindale forum being held today (Wednesday) at the Area E police station at Holy Name Rotary. All the other RofD candidates speedily agreed to be there.
