No, it's not fair: There's a dead train at Central Square

Just in time for rush hour: "Moderate" delays on the Red Line thanks to a train that expired at Central - after belching smoke.

You can't spell incompetent without the T. Assh*le conductor sat back totally not caring about passengers

No cops and passengers feel the need to smash out train windows because of the smoking train.

It had been struggling at least since he got on at South Station, and spend a lot of idle time just before Park (but that may have been due to headways and traffic and not the failure). He got off and walked to Harvard, caught a bus for Davis (where is bike was).

He wasn't upset, just fatalistic and wishing that he had biked all the way in today instead.

Is there any chart showing MBTA train failures over time? I'm curious if it's there's really more downtime now compared to 10 years ago, or if it's just better reported.

I was on the train behind it. We spent about five minutes in DXing, Park & Charles, then a final ten or so in Kendall. The train was packed. At least the conductor gave us updates and did so in an audible and understandable voice. But this happens all the time now. The bar is so low now that I feel grateful if the train actually arrives and gets to its destination without too many problems. We are all so tired of putting up with this.
