Police say man already wanted on a warrant for violent crimes tries to punch out a Red Line window

Transit Police report arresting a man they say punched a window on a Red Line train at JFK/UMass for not damn reason, causing a spider-web series of cracks, then just sitting down in a seat.

While arresting Marco Haynes, 25, for malicious destruction of property worth more than $250, officers discovered he was already wanted out of Dorchester Municipal Court on a warrant for for domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, receiving stolen property worth more than $250, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Assault & Battery on a Family/Household member, Resisting Arrest, Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon 2 counts, Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Property Over 250.00 and Disorderly Conduct.

Innocent, etc.

A friend of mine who works on the red line told me that a number of red line trains have had to be taken out of service because vandals have been punching out windows at JFK station.

I find it amusing that people against legalization of pot cite possible increases in crime that legalization will bring but blissfully ignore the carnage that alcohol currently causes.

months of waiting 20+ minutes for a train drove him to stealing cars, alcohol abuse, and major anger issues ..
