My kids and I were there! It happened right away, as soon as the Zamboni got out on the ice. He didn't even make one trip around the rink.
They refunded everyone's money, but I couldn't make my kids wait in another line.
We're hoping it doesn't close for the season. We'd like to go back and skate for more than 15 minutes.

The B's don't use actual Zambonis anymore (it's actually a brand, and they recently replaced them with Olympia resurfacing machines).

My wife and I went to skate on Thursday night, stayed 10 minutes and left. When we arrived they were kicking everyone off to resurface, and my god, what a shit show.
The ice was covered with what looked like about 2 inches of snow. It was so deep that the Zamboni was making little to no progress. In fact, they had kids (some in skates, some not) shoveling snow into the path of the resurfacer. Still no luck, not to mention dangerous.
I have played hockey for regularly 30 years and I have never seen such a pathetic display. An easy way to ruin the ice, the equipment and/or hurt someone.
