but never answered.
Why does law enforcement so often wait weeks, or months to publish a picture of alleged perps?
Doesn't the delay give the alleged perp more time, sometimes much more time to evade arrest , move out of town, or change their appearance? Maybe there is a good reason, but I never heard one.
someone like this is local.

someone like this is local. they only get a few hundred dollars, maybe low thousands. They stay in the area and buy dope. Its a sickness and they need help. These aren't the criminals of yesteryear that traveled around the country robbing banks and getting off on it

It is often times first distributed among law enforcement to determine if anyone can ID her without the media involvement. Once the picture makes it to the media there is a better chance the suspect may either leave the area or lay low. I agree in this case she is most likely local and there isn't a high probability she flees the country, but in homicides and high-profile cases, they generally don't like to blast out the fact that they have good enough evidence to put someone away.

Also, they may have posted to Mass Most Wanted a few days ago and so the fault might be partly mine for not visiting the site every single day (oh, if only it had an RSS feed).
