I wonder whether exposing the daily system failures of the T has the effect not so much of putting pressure to fix it, but to encourage people to use private cars.
I'd like to see roads taken away from private cars, and given back to walkers, bicycles, and public transit. But I just see newer private cars, still insisting they have priority over everyone else -- and walking and biking and public transit made miserable.

the malfunctioning Red Line have to do with cars on the road, aside from encouraging people to use them if they can't rely on the subway?

And think the world would be a much better place if we had more bicycle lanes and walking paths, because you know, getting anywhere in a reasonable amount of time is sooo 20th century.

I wonder where all the public transit champions on the Massport parking thread went? This is one of many reasons I no longer take the subway to the airport. Imagine trying to navigate this scrum with 2 checked bags, etc.

Waited 40 minutes for a train @ MGH... The train kept filling up with people while at the same time no one was getting off. I just wish people with backpacks would show some decency. Not to mention the ladies with the ridiculously oversized purses. Put it in front of you.
