Poor robot...
<robot voice>THEY TOOK OUR JERBS!</robot voice>
Coach Z was the security robot?
Perhaps if they got Trogdor instead things would have been better.
Sloppy Usage
The first sentence of the Globe article is, if not exactly grammatically incorrect, sloppy usage:
"It looks like at least one robot won’t be taking a human’s job — for now, anyways."
Merriam-Webster identifies "anyways" as "nonstandard, colloquial, or archaic." Grammarly.com instructs "'anyways' is generally accepted only in colloquial speech or informal writing".
Nitpicky I know, but just one more little sign of the decline of the once excellent Globe.

To the tune of B-I-N-G-O, I suppose.
They will be filing a labor
They will be filing a labor dispute with the United Automatons of America against the Prudential Center for an unjust termination.
Suck it meatbags!
Bob Newhart routine
I think from his Button-Down Mind of ... record:
Showing the robot the door? Looks more like
a perp walk.
Aww....
Wish I'd known yesterday and had a chance to sat goodbye.
Lazy robot
I wanted it to burble or something like R2-D2 when people walked up to it. I couldn't figure out why they got it in the first place. Anytime people walked near it it would just stop and it seemed to spend a lot of time on its charging mat next to the the concierge desk. Just zero personality.
Oh, you expected it to have the GPP
(genuine people personality) feature?
Realistic behavior?
Sounds like SOP for a mall cop.
