What a shame! May the victim
What a shame! May the victim RIP. I wonder why the City removed the cameras that were previously at this intersection. They may have been helpful to find the driver and solve crimes in general in this area. But alas...
Maybe one day
Maybe one day all the city's hidden servalence cameras in street lights & So forth will be used to help solve crime instead of being the bpd's spy cam to monitor the povertized citizens who struggle to make ends meet !
311 Complaint for Crosswalk was in
About a month ago I submitted a complaint regarding the white lines need to be repainted in that very same area not only are the white lines faded in that area but there's also a middle school in that area which the children use dangerous core crosswalks hence the reason why I put in a complaint doesn't look like they fixed it yet a month-and-a-half later
There's lots of lines that need repainting
The City is on it, but they are overburdened. Painting lines is rather seasonal. Plus, it ain't paint in most cases. It's 'gooey stuff with little reflective crystals or something in it' (my definition).
Or, they could be too busy rescuing triggered 311 callers from Trump graffiti.
Good chance he was hit by an...
... Uber and/or a driver on the phone.
I hope he didn’t suffer long.
Nope.
Light trucks and big suv’s kill the most people.

uber
Good thing no uber drivers use light trucks or SUVs
Hmmm, that's not what it says.
From the report in your link:
So, passenger cars caused 46.1% of the deaths and light trucks caused 39.1%. I don't see where your claim of "Light trucks and big suv’s kill the most people." is true.
edit: Regardless, it still sucks a pedestrian got killed by a motor vehicle.
Conclusions: Outcomes reflect
Conclusions: Outcomes reflect the ways in which a vehicle’s characteristics (mass, front end design, and visibility) and its degree of interaction with pedestrians affect its risk per mile. Modifications in vehicle design might reduce pedestrian injury. The greatest impact on overall US pedestrian mortality will result from reducing the risk from the light truck category.
The vehicles themselves don’t kill.
It’s the people driving them who kill.

My money is on booze, no insurance or no license. So awful, this poor victim, can’t imagine what his family is going through.
