Facebook deletes fake accounts backing senate candidate

Buzzfeed News reports on the bogus accounts - one named Donna Trumper, another Vinnie Boombatz - backing independent Shiva Ayyadurai and attacking incumbent Democrat Elizabeth Warren and Republican Geoff Diehl. Ayyardurai called the reporter a racist before hanging up on her.

Why delete accounts of real people too
and not just the fake people? Clearly Facebook is continuing its censorship of non-Democrats. By deleting real people and real groups, victims are forced to create more aliases.
The censorship has also attacked honest media reporter Turtleboy Sports which broke many stories about disgraceful actions by state troopers, selectmen, and GoFundMe scammers.

facebook is a private entity that can what they want. i don't have much to say in regards to your specific allegations, but at the end of the day they don't matter. censorship only matters when its the government silencing the public.

Turtleboy Sports
While I agree facebook has some odd ideas in terms of what's appropriate and what's not, Turtleboy Sports was not a victim. They have had their page removed repeatedly for racist hate speech and stalking and harassing people. They keep making new pages and doing this, because they haven't learned to stop harassing people, especially women and people of color, when such folks tell them their comments are not wanted.

During the primary elections many homes received unsolicited campaign calls -- which are quite legal. However, if you looked at the caller ID the screen often said "Scam." It seems that Verizon re-issued telephone numbers that had at one time been used by phone scammers but when they gave the line to the campaigns they failed to clear any database that sent these warnings to people getting the calls.
I notified several campaigns whether I was interested in voting for them or not. This failure by Verizon and some of the cell carriers likely did just as much harm as Facebook.
Campaign workers need to monitor these things (as well as candidates) and make sure that doesn't happen again.
Oh yeah... while we're at it... all of the major telephone companies have their own database that matches names and phone numbers. However, none of them share data. My cell comes up on some people's phones as "Rhonda." While a nice name it doesn't match who I am, so a lot of people never pick up and let calls go to voice mail. I know several people that this is happening to.
