Brawl shuts Lansdowne Street after performer fails to show up - since he'd been arrested at the border near Niagara Falls

Update: Police initially called to House of Blues on report of a sexual attack.

Cops from across the city swarmed Lansdowne Street after a brawl broke out around 9 p.m. at what was supposed a concert by Kodak Black concert at the House of Blues, only the performer didn't show - turns out he had been arrested at a Niagara Falls border crossing on gun and marijuana charges. At least one person was arrested - and two taken to a local hospital with injuries. Some photos.

That's how many tickets LiveNation wants to sell to a concert at the RedSox inc's Fenway Theater on Landsdowne. Wild!

I'm not sure what your point is. Should Boston not have any ticketed concert venues? The Garden holds almost 20,000 people. Fenway holds 37,000.

1) They behave themselves

2) They don't behave themselves, and the police force for which we pay a flat, fixed cost goes and intervenes

That Fenway welcomes 38,000 people at least 81 times a year right? You don't think they can also accommodate 5,600?

The story's been updated since Adam posted it.

That weed is legal in Canada and in MA as well. He's charged with Border Crossing While Black.

Nice attempt to inject race into everything, but you must've glanced over the 4 guns recovered between the 2 cars in his motorcade. One of them was some type of impractical (but flashy!) 30 round "AK style handgun" according to the article.

Soooooo...not about race at all, and the weed is kind of a footnote to the 4 guns.

“while black” across the border without issue. The key is to not bring attention to yourself. Driving a car with a temporary registration, marijuana odor, and guns in the back doesn’t help

Weed isn't legal under Federal law; the Feds, so far, have agreed to defer to state laws with respect to marijuana. But they're going to go after you if you try to take it across the border (in or out) even if it's legal in Canada and the specific state you're entering. It is clearly illegal to import marijuana. They'll also arrest/prosecute if you're found in possession when flying.

He should be charged with Border Crossing While Stupid. Crossing the border in an expensive vehicle (Cadillac Escalade) with temporary tags from a state clear across the country (and traveling away from that state) raises so many red flags you'd think you were in Tiananmen Square. You'd get searched even if you were white and 90 years old.

If he and/or his entourage were carrying more than $10K in cash and didn't declare it they're also going to face charges for that.

I was going from Winnipeg to Grand Forks, in a car with Indiana plates, rented in Chicago, with a Massachusetts driver's license. I also had no good reason for my trip (I mean, who visits either Winnipeg or Grand Forks?) I was just being me.

My favorite question in the inquisition was "how are you going to finance your trip?" I mean, was she seriously going to bar admission to an American citizen? Driving while white, I suppose. The poor punk rockers in the holding area with me were getting their van searched. I only had a compact. That had to suck.

Also, recreational marijuana isn't legal in New York, and even Canada doesn't allow the demon weed to cross international borders, so remember that if any of you are visiting Washington and decide to strike north after, um, shopping.

That's where he was arrested. Even if it had been Lewiston, Maine, that hasn't been part of Massachusetts since 1820.

The Lewiston – Queenston Bridge border crossing is an international arch bridge that connects Lewiston, New York, to Queenston, Ontario across the Niagara River. Lewiston, Maine is on the Androscoggin River, south of Augusta...not particularly close to the Canadian border!

So one might say the story of Kodak Black missing the concert yesterday is still...developing?

It looks like he was stopped at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, which is at the border by Niagara Falls.

I swear I'm so tired of hearing about this fool for the past couple of weeks. He's a non-talented nobody trying to get fame by name dropping or disrespecting true artists who have been in the game before his little ugly ass was even thought of. His mama should have swallowed that night. He's a waste of space.

Calm down boomer. He’s not trying to get fame, he’s already very one of the biggest artists in the industry.
