As much as I like Monty Python, would you have posted a satirical video if the ceremony in question were a Muslim one? Or Jewish? Or Buddhist? Just asking. It would appear some thinks are OK to poke fun at and some things are not.

Yeah. I would. I'm rather ecumenical about making fun of over the top religion.

Would you have commented had you realized that this song, in particular, has some very intense personal significance to me?

Quite untimely and completely unnecessary.
But it'll get some internet points, so yay!

These crossplayers are even more weird than the cosplayers at Furry conventions.

Donald Trump likes to shit all over the US Constitution as well. You two DO have a lot in common don't you?

Personal attacks and bringing up the Disgrace in Chief in discussions that have nothing to do with him: Just don't.

This is just another in a long list of anti-religion derogatory comments by said poster you are defending, as well as others. Either the Constitution protects us all or none at all. It's not a cafeteria style institution. Some people like the disgrace is chief like to shit on the Constitution. As does kinopio. I stand by my rebuttal. And I'm not even religious.

WHOOOSHI Someone got triggered!

Also, the US Constitution DOES NOT:
1) prohibit making fun of religion
2) prohibit criticizing religion
3) have anything to do with the free speech or religion in a private forum.

I knew you'd chime in, being the number one hater of all things Catholic and\or Christian. You're such a hypocrite in every way that the only logical thing I can even say to you is go fuck yourself.

Perhaps you studied it in school?

Another bitch chimes in! You can fuck off too.

I've suspended your account. Please let me know when you learn how to reply to criticism with arguments that rise above the FOAD level.

I believe the term you're looking for is cosplayers, from "costumed players." But yes, I have the same "these are weird people" thought every time I see that photo. Mostly harmless, but weird.

Having that thought says absolutely nothing about my respect for the Constitution, of course. It's a fine ship.

He was making a pun, and not a bad one at that.

It's one of the rare comments he has made that made me chuckle in a good way. Well done, Kino.

Should children be allowed to see this violent spectacle? In public? Like this? If it were just costumes, that would be one thing ...

or you don't.

The Children!

cosplayers were out in force yesterday too. Exiting South Station at 8 a.m. I saw the Disney “Big Bad Wolf” exiting the men’s room, then ended up behind The Jolly Green Giant accompanied by two women dressed as pea pods at Starbucks by Symphony Hall. Someone mentioned the rain in yesterday’s forecast to him & he replied that his green body make-up was waterproof

Jesus saves

Moses invests.

Mohammed profits.

Gretzky scores!

I was at BJs one November Sunday when I heard that Bruins great Phil Esposito would be showing up to autograph his book. Knowing that I could clear several friends and family members off my list at once, I grabbed four books, finished my shopping, purchased them, and returned to get in line.

Eventually, some dude wanders by the line, oblivious. He is wearing a brightly emblazoned JESUS SAVES! T-shirt.

People in line take a collective breath and hold it. Dude exits the aisle, and all exhale and start laughing, while saying "AND ESPOSITO SCORES ON THE REBOUND".

Gretzky? Johnny come lately.

that in Boston, the approved response is "but Esposito scores on the rebouind."

I see now hat someone else has already quoted this, but I can't delete it, only edit it.

and Esposito scores on the rebound

In comparison the folks in Boston are mild.

Well done by the participants. Thanks for the great pics, Greg Cook, and thanks for sharing Adam. Happy Passover and Easter to all those celebrating.

Do they do this every year, or is this event brand new?

Check out an Orthodox church next Friday. They are very much into this whole event - and Cambridge has a multi-congregation presentation coming though Central Square every year.
