Citizen complaint of the day: Looks like the indecipherable-graffiti guy has been busy

Graffiti on the Chilton Club in the Back Bay

A concerned citizen filed a 311 complaint about fresh graffiti today on the top floors of the Chilton Club on Commonwealth Avenue at Dartmouth Street.

Compare to the graffiti at the Hynes T stop for which a JP man was charged yesterday (note in particular the small 's' on the third letter-like thing).

Please advocate for more City and independent graffiti busters' photography be made available online! Whether viewed as an artform or damaging, a record/archive of all graffiti adds to a better understanding of our times' popular culture.

I'd be pissed. The perpetrator needs to pay for careful and environmentally-safe professional restoration, when they get out of jail.

Of course. The costs to remove that and restore it to the condition prior to spraying is huge.

Who tags two separate floors with the exact same tag?

That just looks like crap (aside from the fact that his tag is stupid and derivative as hell too).

Defacing buildings with no-talent spray painted lettering for others to clean up... what a loser.

Those aren't the same tags as the one at Hynes. The symbol that looks like an S on the third letter is a popular graffiti symbol and can be found on a lot of tags in Europe. It has a special meaning and any educated graffiti artists would know exactly what it means.
