Tempest-tossed boats, trees land where they're not expected, thousands lose power, delays across the T

Matt Conti shows us a boat on dry land in the North End after the storm overnight. He has more photos of damage in the North End.
John Hanzl surveyed the damage along Harbor Towers:
Trees fell everywhere, including on the Green Line in Waban:
The T reported "severe delays" across the entire commuter-rail system. On the Lowell Line, the issue wasn't the wind and downed trees so much as the water:
As of 8:50 a.m., Eversource reported 85,309 homes and businesses without power in the eastern-Massachusetts communities it serves.
WBZ reports the storm was the strongest October nor'easter in Boston history.

Lowell Line
Any idea where this photo was taken? The Lowell Line does run near the Mystic Lakes in Medford and Winchester, but it is elevated quite a bit above them, so I can't see how they would flood the tracks.
Typically...
...from my past life on northside commuter rail, there were some spots through Somerville where it's down in the cut which flood fairly regularly. IIRC from about Somerville Jct up past Tufts. I'd imagine if there's any place where new drainage isn't complete yet for the GLX work it might not handle last night's rain very well.
Yeah this is definitely in
Yeah this is definitely in Somerville or Medford.
I ended up just driving all the way in due to the number of T Alerts I was getting on my way to Woburn, but a coworker took it in from Billerica and said they were crawling through most of the GLX construction area through standing water.
Looks like the Cedar St
Looks like the Cedar St bridge going inbound. That whole stretch of the line has flooding problems, it's why they're installing a lot of big stormwater pipes as part of the GLX construction.
Tufts through brickbottom
We aren't talking about lake or river flooding here. This is storm water/street flooding from inadequate drainage.

Maybe Cedar St. in Somerville?
This might be the Cedar Street bridge in Somerville, heading inbound. From what I can tell the building on the right looks like the building that is there, and that underpass was definitely flooded this morning when I came in to work.
Let's get some perspective here...
Is this what they call Global Storming?
Also, is this the warmest October in Boston histryonics?
Also, why hasn't any news outlet covered the storm seepage under my window frames and air conditioners? I had to clean it up with a sponge this morning! That's a much bigger story than downed trees/boats/railroads/whatever. Because it happened to me!
Where's the sense of perspective around here?
What about
My 17 hour power outage?
Worst since I moved here in '98!
Surprisingly Warm
Surprisingly warm for October. Of course I can remember taking the kids out trick-or-treating in short sleeves not that long ago.
